Welcome to my contest!
Welcome to Round 27 and the Reopening of Like A Song Poetry Contest!
*I am very excited to be holding this contest.
I hope everyone will enjoy it.
*This will be a prompt contest based around the music genre.

-Here are the Rules-

--This is a contest for POETRY-- only.

-- Contest usually runs from the 1st until the 30th at 11:59pm WDC time of each month. Reopened - Round 27 Starts Now and Ends 01/03/2025 at 11:59pm WDC time!!

--Winners will be announced within 1 week from the closing date.

-- The prompts for each month are parts of popular song lyrics.(the songs used are from no particular musical era or genre)

-- Create a poem using one of the prompts listed below. "The exact prompt line MUST be incorporated in the poem."

-- You may enter 1 or 2 contest entries but the prompts used must be different for each.

-- All entries must be submitted in

-PROMPTS FOR ROUND 27-

~ From the earth to the morgue. Morgue, morgue, morgue!

~ We hold in our hearts, The sword and the faith.

~ The show within is keeping me from losing my mind

~ Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind

~ Bother me tomorrow, today I'll buy no sorrows

~ Because tomorrow might be good for somethin'

~ Tomorrow's just an excuse away

~ Just what you want to be you will be in the end

~ They seem to be leaning in the wrong direction

~ Open graves ghouls a plenty

~ Night of the living dead

~ and the people we've become, well they've never been the people who we are

~ Two roads split off from here and my life goes running in opposite directions
