TRACK

You taught me this,
Taught me how to reach my bliss.
Showing me how to extend my stride,
And running with great pride.

From bursting with the gun,
To having lots of fun.
You told me always stay strong,
For nothing can go wrong.

You said never look behind,
For others have not yet been defined.
And running takes lots of heart,
Especially at the start.

And once at the finishline,
Never wish you had more time.
Knowing you have done you best,
Will put the others at their rest.
