A poem of how a child's death affects the parents
Locked behind a skeleton key

A sacred room of the lost

A dusty room no one shall see

No matter what the cost

Locked behind a skeleton key

To keep our tears at bay

Locked behind a skeleton key

To pretend that she's away

Locked behind a skeleton key

A rusty knob that won't turn

Behind that very skeleton key

Lies a girl's lost future

And when the father's away

The key locked inside his desk

Inside his forgotten study

With a dusty family crest

The wooden door creaks open

The sound fills the room

Echos through the corridors

To the one forgotten lock

That's opened with a skeleton key

Where mother sits to rot
