Its a personal piece that I wrote. Once you read it it'll be worth your time.
A Tale

I look out the window,
and I see a couple strolling hand in hand.
All of the sudden loneliness dawns over me,
and I remember a tale that happened some time ago.

It was about a girl who prayed,
made wishes,
and believed that love was the key to life.

After praying, wishing, and believing for a year,
Her chance in life arrived.
She met the guy of her dreams.

They were introduced to each other as strangers.
Neither of them knew what was to occur next,
For they didn’t expect to fall for each other.

Yet one thing led to another,
And they hit it off after two months they met.
When he first told her “I love you”,
She didn’t know what to say.

Then all of a sudden,
there was this feeling she never had before.
Before she could put a name to it,
She realized she loved him equally as well.

As each day passed,
Their love for each other grew.
They became inseparable,
By becoming one.

He treated her like a princess,
By making her feel special.
Something that no one has ever done,
And lavished her with gifts.

She couldn’t believe what was happening.
In her eyes everything was too good to be true.
She put that feeling aside,
Letting herself get lost in its rhythm.

Once that took place,
She let her guard down.
He knew her inside and out.
She opened her heart to him.

He made her a promise.
He said he would never break her heart,
Because he loved her.

Those two were always seen together.
Holding hands,
Kissing,
And embracing each other.

There wasn’t one worry in her mind,
When she was with him.
It gave her a feeling of reassurance, but
Most of all someone loved her for who she was.

They would talk about everything and anything.
Having no secrets,
No skeletons in the closet,
Or lies.

He’d go to her house whenever possible.
And she’d open the door to let him in,
Even though she wasn’t accustomed in breaking the rules.

Some talks would even touch the bases of the future,
Or plans they had in going out to places.
Not foreseeing what would happen later on,
They were too consumed on what was going on at the moment.

About nine months later,
Things took a three sixty turn.
The fairy tale started to become a nightmare.
Everything they worked so hard for began to shatter.

He started to be busy,
She felt ignored.
He forgot about his promises,
And she began to cry.

As time passed by,
Things got worse.
Never had she felt more vulnerable.
Exposed to him and loving him,
She didn’t leave his side.

Not expecting that the day would come,
He walked out on her.
She felt crushed.
Deserted by the one whom she loved the most,
And feeling betrayed.

She opened herself to him,
And he promised he wouldn’t hurt her.
She couldn’t help but remember,
How he made her feel like someone special.

While crying she couldn’t help remembering,
How their first kiss set off static,
The way he told her she was the center of his world,
And most of all when he said to her “I love you”.

Even though she cried her heart out,
She still loves him.
No matter how much pain he put her through,
She can’t forget him or rather won’t.

For this one guy she loves,
Risks weren’t a big deal for her.
She took them all and the challenges,
Yet there are still more obstacles to come.

In her heart he lies,
In her mind he’s there,
In her life he’ll stay.
Most of all their love is still there.

As the day passes by,
They lay in each others arms.
As she lies on his chest,
She wonders if they can reconstruct their relationship.

As they are together sleeping in bed,
she feels the love between them.
When they kiss,
The world is a blissful place.

While they embrace each other,
The love is felt.
