A little more than five years ago, my sister, Chelli, and I were taking our combined six children to a local park for the afternoon. I have two girls and a boy. She had three boys at the time and later added a fourth. Since we didn’t have enough room in one vehicle to transport all of our kids, we both drove separately. Her oldest son, Trey, who was nine-years old at the time, decided to ride in my truck with me.
As we waited at a stop light in front of a local convenience store I noticed a beautiful girl walking across the parking lot. Recently divorced, I guess I let my newly found bachelorhood get the best of me. I nudged Trey, pointed toward the store, and said, “Trey, look over there!”
Trey stared toward the store with a confused look on his face. He searched with great concentration to figure out what I was so excited about. Suddenly, his face lit up. He turned to me and said, “Wow! A case of Pepsi is only $4.99?”
