The Avis disappeared,
Was never seen, as I had feared.
She was a lonely thing, the Avis,
People came and went and she they always miss.
It was on another lonely summer's day that she
Had been found by children three
And then just came two more
At last her life was not much of a bore.
Her life at once blossomed anew
A fresh, sweet sensation, like morning dew
But alas, she did not know
That soon all this would have to go
They did not tell her, those children five
That they would leave her, only to thrive
Upon sweet memories of the past,
Wishing senselessly that they could last
Until that night, she fled the land
That place where happiness had once been grand
I no longer know of her what happened next,
So no more shall follow of this text.
