An angel is about a kid.
An Angel
Kevin Shepard was a regular 14 year old teenager. He weighed 125 pounds and was five foot, four inches. His hair was long and blond, his eyes were grey. Kevin played soccer at his high school. The only thing remotely different about him was how he dressed but everyone at his school dressed differently. Atleast he was a regular kid up until a 2005 summer camp session that changed his whole life.

It was elven A.M. at Camp Locks and Kevin was with his cabin mates, Taylor, Micheal, Alexi, Andrew, Hans, Edmond, Fred and Max, and consoler, Fire, on a hike when a consoler came running up the path. Distress was on his face. The two consolers began to talk in whispers to eachother. Distress spread across Fire’s face too.

“Okay everybody we are going back down to main camp, I will lead Chess will be in the back.” Fire told the group.

Fire started to walk down the hill and the cabin followed, with Chess tailing behind. Back at main camp Fire took them back to their cabin. Their cabin was part of a square of six cabins. In the middle of the square stoud eight consolers-in-training. The consolers-in-training looking vigilent. They looked back and forth like looking for anything, or anyone, out of the ordinary. Fire led the cabin mates into their cabin, but first Fire went in.

Something is obviously going on thought Kevin. Kevin sat down on his bed in the corner of the room by a window. His other cabin mates sat down on their own beds. The second consoler waited outside

“Okay all I know everybody is that three people have died and they seem to have died of natrual causes.” said Fire. “Everyone stay in here and cover the window. I have to meet with the other consolers. If you need something the consolers-in-training are right outside.”

With that short brief on what was happening he left the cabin. Everyone in the cabin was quiet, no one knew what to think. The general feeling that was going around the room was surprise but there was also a feeling of questioning wether it was accidental or not.

What could it have been, Kevin thought. Is Kelly alright? Kelly was a kid that Kevin liked and Kevin and her had just started going out. At a little after noon a consoler-in-training came to the door with food and gave it to the campers. The campers began to eat.

It was about ten P.M. when Fire returned. The campers in the cabin had aten dinner and a couple of them were asleep. Fire woke up those who were asleep.

“The police determined that they all died of natrual causes so camp will go on like regular tommarow.” Fire told the cabin.

The cabin seemed somewhat relieved but still there was a sadness in the cabin.

“I don’t think anyone knew any of the people who died, they weren’t in our section of camp.” Continued Fire.

They all went to sleep then. In the morning they got up and went to the mess hall where the whole camp had breakfast. The hall was huge and jam packed. Conversation about the other day’s events filled the hall, making saying anything virtualy impossible.

After lunch Kevin’s cabin went to the field and played various games for a while. The rest of the day went by without any big events. Kevin met with Kelly during the free period and they talked for a while.
When dinner was over and all of the cabin was back in the cabin Kevin got out his book that he had been reading. It was called the An Avatar’s Guide, inside the book it had information on all sorts of creachers and stuff but it never really talked about what an “Avatar” actualy was. Kevin looked at the index and saw the Death in the index. Opening to that page he read the following:

5.6 Death

Death is more then one thing. To elaberate more on thing it is people who are dead but were never living. When a “death agent” is about to take a life they are visible for a minute before and a minute after. But do not dare take a look at them for you will die to if you see even a flash of them. Death is neither good nor bad. It is nuetraul.

After reading that entery kevin was convinced that this book was written by a raving lunatic. He hid the book in his clothes bag, thinking that if another camper found it they would think Kevin was in a cult.

In the morning a consoler came to the door and talked to Fire again. Had something else happened was all Kevin could think.
