Elegance and flair strap on stilettos,
As they bring an earthquake to the dance floor.
I tumble into their trap of June,
A dunk tank brimming with liquid wishes
For lips, full with some whimsical loning,
And a fair pair of some chocolate eyes,
Deep enough to drink the moon song
Which lives in the center of my soul.
June's warmth pulls playfully on my heart.
I pluck the petals off of a daisy,
And flash a smile glazed in timid guilt,
Every sweet tug is hope that "he loves me"
Drunk on sunshine, I give into summer,
And long to rest my head on a man's chest,
Feel the lush sensation, silk on my cheek.
Summer steals my sensibility,
And takes me to the place where dreams are made,
Where wisdom cannot ride to the rescue.
Each year her daughter June wraps around me
The soft and secret wants of a woman,
In that moment I know that she has come,
And I fall into the spell of Summer
