Many haiku I write are the work of mere seconds. Some I come up with to help with my studies on the numerous Tarot decks I own. Some others just pop into my head.
Not all of these haiku follow traditional syllable form.
Please tell me what you think, even - especially - if you hate them, and let me know if you think any stand out.
The vast maze of Life,
Twenty-two great challenges,
and the paths between.
The Fool in pure white
begins his magickal quest,
led by arcane guides.
The ancient Hermit,
worldly, wise, his long toil passed,
basks in solitude.
* Based on the Hermit card from D.J Conways' Celtic Dragon Tarot
The Hermit lives without
love, true passion never known.
He lives and dies alone.
You saved the Hermit
from himself. My darling bride,
I love you, always. - For Maggie
The innocent Fool,
Yorick, in his Dunces Cap,
Holds the keys to the world.
* Based on the Fool card from The Fey Tarot
The ultimate quest,
the spirits' evolution,
ends where it begins.
