Tears streamed down her cheeks,
Rolling like precious diamonds,
She cries in the night longing for him,
Pleading for a sign of peace.
The tears kept coming,
Forming puddles on her shirt,
Her tears resembled a never ending rain,
And all of her sorrows was enduring her pain.
She walked down the aisle,
Knowing her first true love will not be at her side,
She takes a glance down in the cold wooden casket,
Wishing she was by his side.
Her young love was far away at war,
He promised he would be home soon and not stay one month more,
Some where deep inside she knew he was right,
But she also knew he was wrong when a Lieutenant came to her house that night.
She now looks at the photos her love had sent her,
Happiness was drained from his face,
She knew she must keep his pictures in a memberable place,
A small gallery of war artifacts and photos,
Not only was this a gallery of someone else's nightmare,
But this was also her nightmare as well.
