A poem I wrote a long time ago, as a teen with her first broken heart.
Every night I wish on a star,
And every wish is the same.
I wish that I could be with you
And hear you speak my name.

But you've moved on with your life
And left me far behind.
And not a single day has past
That you're not on my mind.

I try to smile, laugh and joke
So the pain won't show.
And how much I really hurt inside,
You'll probably never know.

For you don't love me anymore
And love another you will.
But remember, where ever I am,
I will love you still.
