Lighting the Darkness

An everlasting blackness surrounds me
This cave of nothing, the cave of everything
It engulfs the night the day and everything else
It begins to contract, faster and faster
Until, I can’t talk, cant shout cant even breathe
Until implosion is imminent

You appear to me as a blade of light
A shining presence in the night
Dagger of hope slice through my soul
You rip the blackness send it sprawling
In every direction a shadow of itself, faded
The warrior of light, my warrior of hope
You watch over me always by my side.
