Excerpt from a story I'm writing
I could hear his heart beating ever so poignant and broken, even though I was at an alarming distance; for a moment I could only hear his bleeding heart as if everything else had just vanished. Surrounded by nothing but blackness, his heart crying rivers of blood streaming down into an abyss of a lost cause. Why am I alone? He could hear his heart beating; rather, pounding at his chest begging for her, but all that was around him was silence. A complete silence, that single moment, seemed like the longest moment I had ever experienced. It felt as if my life has just been one silent moment. Begging, bleeding, withering, his heart was slowly shivering in to complete emptiness, like a dark black void never seeing the light of day. Even if he wanted to, was there anything he could do?
