My latest short poem that I hope is a good fluent piece of writing.
The sapphire waves near emerald leaves
Rejoice with brilliance and call out to me,
But incapable of feeling and unaware I have become
So to this chorus I am wholly numb.

The thrill of life that flowed through my bones
Has ebbed away into the unlikely clone
Of light and warmth that is the day,
While safe in obscurity, I hide away.

The feather-like grass and melodious rain,
The dusky shies over boundless plains;
All that surrounds are not quite what they seem
For they only exist within my dreams.

But this is the world, in which I will stay,
For here my fears are kept at bay.
A far cry from the place so harsh
Where time will ever slowly pass.

Please tell me what you think, whether it seems finished or not and what I can add to it because I want to do more to it but I don't know what. Any help would be appreciated!
