T’was a paper kite in the sky,
Flying and soaring there up high,
Turning around with its elevation,
It thus expressed self-admiration.
Look how this kite wanders mightily,
See how it arouse her potency,
But like a prisoner she was bound,
The string holds her near the ground.
With all her pow’r she tugged and pulled,
And with her faith she know she could,
To break the string that leads restraint,
At last it broke, fulfilling her aim.
At first she thought she will succeed,
To fly, to reach and to proceed,
But then in vain it soars away,
Thus unable her own weight to bear.
Soon the winds blew against the kite,
It flattered downward and loses its flight,
That foolish kite, it has no wings,
How could she fly without a string?
My heart cried,”Dear Lord I see,
How much this kite resembles me!”
Who forgot to follow your command,
Who was impatient of thy ruling hand.
So I kneeled and bowed before thy throne,
And asked forgiveness to You alone,
To live my life in Your loving ways,
By God’s amazing love and wonderful grace.
