A poem I wrote during a bad time
Why do I do the things I do
Why do I say the things I say
Why do every night I lie in bed and pray

Pray for a better tomorrow
A tomorrow without sorrow

Pray for my problems to go away
So I can wake up care free the next day

But I know nothing will go away without a fight
A fight no one can win unless they begin to sin

But no one wants to sin
so they just push it aside
And once again my problems they hide

They hide the scars and the fresh cuts on my wrists
Like their ashamed of me and what I do
SO what would you do if no one cared about you?

Well I'll tell you what I did
And remember this is coming from a kid

I put the razor blade deep against my wrists
and didn't stop until the blood began to mist

I dropped to the floor
and banged my head on the door

I knew this was the end. It was all so dark
but little did I know it was all a fresh start.

I woke that morning with the sun shining in my face
Like nothing had happened to my wrists. Of cuts there was no trace.

Until I looked up and saw a person with wings
and I realized it was an angel
who was here to bring me new things

So to the people who pushed my problems aside
I hope you feel better because of you; I died.

Not just on the outside but inside too
But it was for the better you see
because now I fly high problem free
