About This Newsletter

Hello everyone, I’m Samberine Everose, and I'm here again your guest editor this week in the Spiritual Topic of the WDC Newsletter, and just like I've always been saying, I will not be tired in expressing my thankfulness to all the beautiful people here in this wonderful community of writers for not only helping us to improve our writings but giving us also encouragement and inspiration every day. *Smile*

Even God The Creator of all rested on the seventh day after creating everything on earth.
How much more to us who are only an ordinary human being.
We also need to have a rest.

Dear Friend,

Greetings!

I just only have known that a motor vehicle has maintenance too, it needs to change its motor oil for every 1000 kilometers driven to get its full and will give a better performance.

How about our body? do we have a maintenance also to keep it fit in order to perform well? I bet our body is more important than a machine. Right.

In just by getting sleep already, Did you notice that when you do not get enough sleep, you will feel and looked haggard, and can't think well? For me, it's very dreadful when I have a sleepless night, I feel like a walking Zombie.

How about a rest or an unwind day of rest- do we need it?

Sometimes for desiring more and being possessed by the demands that are mostly our worldly cravings we forgot and become abusive to our body and we overlooked to nurture and maintain our body's basic needs- physically, mentally and especially emotionally.

Rest is one of the basic needs of our body, other than nurturing foods to keep it healthy. We need rest.

Rest is signing off on all our routine works in mind and in the heart. So it means when we get to rest, we leave all our problems, our works etc.

Even God, The Creator of everything on earth, He also rested on the seventh day when all His works in designing the earth and everything was finished.
He sanctified the seventh day or The Sabbath day and made it Holy.

Because He knew we need rest, to refuel, to recharge our body and mind so that we will freshen again on the next day or on the next first day of the week.

Below are some important things that rest day or the Sabbath day is good for our health and body as well as gives meaningful in our lives.

*TulipP* 1. Rest day is a good day for a family day bonding.
It's a good day to bond with our family, to tour the kids and wife/husband outside after attending a Sunday service, to appreciate the sunshine and smell the fresh air, a good day to visit your mother or father or sibling if they are living in another place.

*TulipP*2. Rest day is a good day for self-unwinding.
Our body needs to be relaxed, to be alone, and to be in our senses. I usually like to go in a park and capture through writing or drawing the great scenes in our surroundings, but now that I have a baby, we just only go for a walk in our neighborhood.

*TulipP*3. Rest day is a good day for doing your passion.
When you are doing your passion, like writing, drawing, painting, cooking, gardening, you are relaxing. Right. You can do on a rest day things that you can't able to do on the weekdays.

*TulipP* 4. Rest day is a good day to attend a Sunday mass service.
Just like I've said God The Father of all sanctified the seventh day and made it Holy, so it will be much good and worthy to celebrate with Him and give Him thanks to His unfailing love and all His goodness to us.

Rest day is a day where we can breathe and be mindful. It's a great day to reflect, to refresh our minds with new inspirations and will remind us where we came from. *Heart*

Samberine Sig.
