Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.

So many fail because they don't get started - they don't go. They don't overcome inertia. They don't begin.

Another year in the bag, folks! I hope you've celebrated the ending of the last one properly, because, let's face it, it's been challenging. Now, as we're moving forward, we all have our new goals and different achievements we'd like to accomplish ahead of us. A great way to start the new year would be to enter "Dear Me: Official WDC Contest" . Pave your way for the next months and set things into motion. If nothing else, it'll inspire you to get things going, be they writing or otherwise. Don't forget to follow the contest rules! You don't want to be disqualified.
What are your plans for this year? Have any ideas yet or are you in need of brainstorming?
For some of us, myself included, there might be a different path. Instead of planning ahead and drawing a map, there are perhaps things we'd like to change. Not a challenge per se, but something with a purpose. In the past I've always wrote down what I'd like to accomplish when it came to writing, reading, and reviewing. Seldom are those goals met. Lack of trying, lack of time, plenty of procrastination and many excuses later, I hate looking back on the previous year and see all my plans got drowned somewhere along the way.
This year may be different - maybe.
Instead of goals, I'm hoping for changes. I cannot achieve a goal if I don't change certain things in my life. Then there's life itself which tends to put a pitchfork in my way and I'm left with no other choice but to swerve off onto a different path. No matter what may come, the most important thing in life is happiness. Doing what makes a person happy. All you have to do is figure out a way to get there. Be stubborn! As I've mentioned before procrastination and excuses are always high on the list of priorities and I know I'm not alone in this. Change those two into something positive and you just might accomplish what you silently hoped for.
Here's to wishing you a year full of great stories to write, lots to review, and perhaps gets something published along the way. Until next time!
