Letter from the editor

Happy Birthday, Writing.Com!!!!

Yes folks, tis the birthday of the best--bar none--writing website on the web!
The site will be decorated and the community will be celebrating in a number of ways.

We've all been impacted by this place. It is a home to many of us, we've met friends here. Our writing has improved, we've won a contest or auction item.

I had actually found Writing.Com over a year before I got the nerve up to register and submit my first piece of writing. A huge step for me! Not once have I ever regretted that step!

So here's my heartfelt "THANK YOU!" to our "most excellant hosts," The StoryMaster and his lovely The StoryMistress ...

I love you guys! Thank you for providing a wonderful, friendly, nurturing place for me to write and grow as a writer and person.

LET THE CELEBRATION BEGIN!

Til next month...

Nikola--Your Editor's picks were outstanding this month! I've read two and plan on reading the others.

Thanks Esprit! One of the most enjoyable part of being an editor is finding those gold nuggets on the site!

From T.Teffom
Hi, reading your story soon. Thanks for 5--quote on fiction. Now about hurricanes...

Thank you! As for hurricanes, I know we outran two when I was a child living in the New Orleans area. My knowledge of Hurricans now extends to the hockey team!
