Letter from the editor

*Leaf4* I know most adults spend the majority of their time trying to keep 'drama' out of their day to day life. But there's nothing more relaxing than to read, watch or hear about someone else's drama issues. Is this human nature? I'm not sure, I think maybe it makes us feel better knowing that there are others out there with bigger problems than our own!? I bet this plays a big role in the success of many T.V. shows. Talk-shows, soap operas and especially all the reality shows. There is just something about watching, reading or hearing about other's drama...especially if it leads to irrational behavior!

*Leaf5* Below I've listed some T.V. shows, movies and my editor picks from WDC all are full of some dramatic situations that should keep your mind off your own. (maybe for a little bit...)

T.V. Shows

*Note1* Desperate Housewives
*Note2* Ugly Betty
*Note3* The Nine
*Note4* House
*Note5* Grey's Anatomy
*Note6* Gilmore Girls
*Note1* Prison Break
*Note2* Daytime - Take your pick of any soap or talk-show!

Movies (some old/some new.)

*Note3* Failure to Launch
*Note4* Rumor Has It
*Note5* Shadowboxer
*Note6* You, Me and Dupree
*Note1* The Godfather(s)
*Note2* The Shawshank Redemption

My chin about hit the floor when you said this description was for the Wizard of Oz but after re-reading it, I guess it could apply, but like you said - poor choice of words! Good movie though~ :o)

Tammy - Good points on the importance of the right word and being clear. That's one of my trouble areas. And the movie description stumped me, I never would've guessed The Wizard of Oz!

I completely agree, diction is one of the most important aspects of any writing, especially drama.
