About This Newsletter

Push the door, I'm home at last and I'm soaking through and through
then you handed me a towel and all I see is you
and even if my house falls down now, I wouldn't have a clue
because you're near me

Letter from the editor

This may be new for some readers, but others probably remember that last year I held an activity to find out which romantic movie was voted Writing.Com's all time favorite. If you don't know what I mean you'll see it in the newsletter archives issues "April 13, 2005: lexijewlgiaOpen in new Window. through "Romance/Love Newsletter (August 3, 2005)Open in new Window.. It's time to get the readers involved again.

Since a great love story can be told in a song, we're going to explore music. Throughout the next few issues I'm going to be using surveys and polls to count down to the most romantic love song. I need your participation to make it work, though!

Some of the most beautiful words I've heard were from a song. What songs grab your heart? Please take the survey below, then stay tuned in to see how far your picks go in the Romantic Song Showdown.

Ask & Answer

*Bullet* Voxxylady Author Icon: I just signed up for this newsletter and love the socks/men comparison! I'll have to consider your challenge. Thanks for the chuckle.

*Star* Lexi Author Icon: Hey there, Voxxy! It was a blast to write. I'm happy that you're considering the challenge and glad you enjoyed your first issue.

*Bullet* scribbler Author Icon: Oooh! This newsletter gave me a great idea for a short romance story. Thanks!

*Star* Lexi Author Icon I love to hear that, scribbler Author Icon!

*Bullet* Starr Phenix Author Icon: Great newsletter Lexi! What an interesting way to look at guys - from the socks up! My husband prefers ankle socks. He's pretty loving most of the time, but I don't know about carefree. The rest of it is pretty dead on.

*Star* Lexi Author Icon: Starr, I was so close!

*Bullet* Octobers Lie Author Icon: A very interesting and fun newsletter. Your creativity and inspiration never ceases to amaze me.

*Star* Lexi Author Icon: Ollie, thank you for the wonderful compliments!

*Bullet* Ghostwriter Author Icon: What an interesting way to discover a man's personality! Honestly, I never considered a pair of socks could tell so much about a guy. What happens if you have a man who changes the type of socks he wears everyday? And what about those who don't wear socks? Just wondering.

*Star* Lexi Author Icon: Ghostwriter Author Icon, I am going to say that if a man changes his type everyday then he may be a chameleon seeking to live a secret agent lifestyle. As for going without socks, maybe commando*Wink*

*Bullet* Thank you for the comments. They are always appreciated!
