Who Is Your Hero?
In my research about reluctant heroes, I thought I would pass on some quick characteristics of different kinds of heroes. I'm sure there are more, but I thought these might spur some ideas. My original thought was, what hero isn't reluctant? What hero wakes up in the morning and thinks he's going out to save the world?
Reluctant Hero - a tarnished or ordinary man with several faults or a troubled past, and he is pulled reluctantly into the story, or into heroic acts. During the story, he rises to the occasion, sometimes even vanquishing a mighty foe, sometimes avenging a wrong.
Epic Hero - seven main traits of epic heroes; they are of noble birth or elevated status. They have superhuman capabilities, are a vast traveler, an unmatched warrior, a cultural legend, demonstrate humility, and finally, battle superhuman foes.
Everyman Hero - ordinary people without any apparent heroic qualities or characteristics. ... Though lacking inherent heroic qualities, everyman character types often have a strong moral compass and act with extreme selflessness.
Willing Hero - motivated by the obstacles that he faces. He's always ready for challenges and is bored of a life that doesn't provide some threat to overcome. The willing hero is also noted for his bravery. Unlike some other heroes on this list, the willing one is fearless and daring, almost to a fault.
Tragic Hero - loses everything through a reversal of fortune (also known as peripeteia). His downfall doesn’t come from immorality or corruption, but rather from an error in judgment or the sudden whim of fate.
These descriptions might not help you find a hero, but add special characteristics to an existing one.

ForeverDreamer : Likes and comments on my blog are appreciated. So at t Awardicons that I have received.
s : I try to answer questions in WdC General Forum, offer advice to writers and do little things like that. Not much, I know... sorry.
Anna Marie Carlson : Hopefully I can encourage them by my own enthusiasm. Writing is great! Even though I don't have my computer yet, I still give it a try. My computer seems to have a mind of its own; it's frustrating at times.
