How to publish your book?

Not all who write would like to publish their work at first, especially those who still newbies and blended with a certified introvert personality. *Bigsmile*

Just like me, when I am still a newbie, honestly it's only writing.com whom I trust to publish my write ups even if I only made the reader access to only here on writing.com world. *Bigsmile*

Publishing sometimes is too scary because for me as a private person you are showing something or exposing a part of you to the public.

But once you get rid of that fear, especially if there is a calling for you to voice out, then it will become natural on your part and may become your identity.

Here are main ways on how to publish a book.

*Tackr* Traditional publishing
- This is where someone will publish your work or book.
You will submit something to a publisher then if the publisher sees a great potential in the writer then the publisher will do the different steps in publishing the work/book.
Like, editing, proofreading, cover designing, layout, formatting, publishing and marketing.
In other words this is a team work.
This is good but there is also a risk,
The work/book is not already totally controlled by the author/writer or the creator.
So one should choose properly a publisher that can be trusted off.
Because there is a possibility that the work/book will be stolen or not be used as the author expected it.

*Tackr* Self publishing
- is doing alone, this is where you are in control of everything,
you still need the service of a professional editor or a cover designer or a formatter, and marketer, but you are in control and you too will be the publisher.
The risk on this one is there is a lot of work on the author's part and it will take time after the work/ book is finished.

Here are the trendy forms that you can publish your book.

Ekindle or ebook

- electronic kindle that can be downloadable to your phone.
You just download a library to your phone so that you can have an electronic space to store the books.

Paperback.

This is the traditional book or physical book that it's made up of paper, and usually the platform whom you will published your ekindle has already available on it.

Audio
- I am not quite familiar with this one, because I still haven't try it. But it is also added as one of the forms on how you will publish your work.

Well, from one who prefers before to only live inside a shell, writing.com gives me confident to go outside and see the beauty of a childhood dream -the dream that I disregard and sometimes reject it - the world of writing, that I didn't know that God will use it and will find the voice that fits me reflecting my identity and the 'name He 'calls me. *Heart*

Have a Merry Christmas everyone!
