Letter from the editor

Our busy schedules leave little time to write at times. Yet as the world is changing in front of our eyes, it is a great time to do some soul searching, recharging our batteries, spend time with our loved ones, and most importantly not to panic. For us writers, it’s an opportunity to look at things from different perspectives and use that in our writing.

First of all, don’t take everything you hear and read to heart. This will all blow over eventually. There will be toilet paper in stores within a month or two, so be creative in the meantime. Be vigilant but stay calm. Use this situation to your writing advantage.

Many people are questioning the situation we are in right now. Conspiracy theory or a hoax? Is it all real? Is it all made up?

Take proper precautions no matter what your thoughts are. The whole world in under a lockdown and this is the time to use your writing skills to your advantage. If you don’t have imagination, well, what do you have?

We could debate about the current situation, spread false panic to make people even more irrational or we can keep it all contained. While many on social media consider this a joke, it is anything but. Don’t blow it out of proportion either. Instead, use your writing skills to create something worth reading. In times like these, we all need something positive in our lives. Let’s make that happen but be safe and stay away from large crowds as much as possible.

‘Til next time!
~ Gaby *WitchHat*
