Hello Elisa the Bunny Stik Author Icon,

I came across this piece by way of Read & Review.

The first thing I noticed is that this appears to be a copy / save / repost / repositioning of a text that was originally stored in a different way. Maybe in a book / blog? The mention of President Bush is explained by the original date of 2006. But there is no further explanation within this item why it was reposted in this fashion in 2020. I saw that there is a whole folder with it, but it contains only two entries by the same title (although different dates).

My one suggestion is that I wonder if the disclaimer in the folder that explains what this piece means to you would be better stored within this item in a dropdown note. That way, the whole picture is easier understood. Because even with all the annoyance at others not doing enough research, giving readers a complete picture is not a bad idea.

Dealing with anger toward others is a subject that everyone has to deal with. Just speaking as someone who offers activities and contests here on Writing.Com, I get triggered by people who won't read the rules and instead ask me if "this or that" is permissible when the rules clearly say it's not. It's a small issue when it's a contest here on an internet site, but those people make me wonder how they get through life in general where there are thousands of rules that apply to them.

I wish I had a way to deal with my own anger at times too. I spend way too much time awake at night revisiting stupid things and not knowing how to get past them and let it go. Today though, I will be able to let go of one of my current triggers and that will be a relief. It's not here on the site though.

My reply to your question: "Wo what can I do about ignorance?" is that there isn't anything you can do to change other people's (sometimes willful) ignorance. All you can do it try to avoid being ignorant, but also don't let it bother you when others are ignorant when it doesn't actively involve you. Let people find out on their own.
