Hello blade98x Author Icon,

This second chapter slows down a little bit. The reader gets to meet Ross and finds out that he has a job. What kind of a job is it though that he can easily call out from? My suggestion for this chapter, and it wouldn't even intrude, would be to have the manager come with a title. Like bank manager. Or coffee shop manager. Or whatever place of work you have envisioned for Ross. Since she is mentioned and has a speaking line, her presence should serve to enhance the worldbuilding and character building for Ross.

My mind went black for a moment, replaced by a blurry vision of a key, a chain, and a ring. I wonder if you can rewrite this sentence a little bit. The mind going black means that there is nothing to see. What about just the simple experience of a vision of those other artifacts.

Yes, these extra items raise the idea that there could be two more people with a power similar to Ross's, but it could also mean that he is supposed to find those items. He should wonder about that too. Just an idea.

The ending is nicely eerie. I am not sure if it's Ross speaking to himself or if the entity that has bestowed the key on him decided to just go ahead and speak to him as if they're just old buddies.
