Things seem to change. Christmas and other similar holidays becoming Modern, especially when folks live far away. However, there's still some things that don't change.

My uncle - wearing a Santa hat, and passing out gifts. Chocolate-covered cherries - grandpa's favorite treat - one of those, in memory of him. Parents gathered around, watching children play with new toys. Grandma saying a prayer, blessing those there, and asking God to watch out for them that aren't. Then, there's the food.

Then, there's the little miracles, like Great Aunt coming to visit - she and Grandma patching things up after over twenty years of low to no contact with each other. Likewise, there's me, giving my brother's girlfriend a blanket she'll enjoy, and toys that my step-nieces and nephews will enjoy.
