Carving stone with water [E] Persistance vs. Quality of Life. Based on a Chinese Proverb |
HAPPY WDC ACCOUNT ANNIVERSARY FROM "Anniversary Reviews" Greetings, SWPoet! I'm reviewing this as a member of the Anniversary Rewards Team and this month is your 17th Writing.com anniversary! I remember you well, from years ago. My, how time flies! My reviews are intended to be helpful and encouraging, not hurtful in any way. Use what you feel works for you, and leave the rest. Please note, if you modify/edit your item after the contest's deadline until winners are announced, your item will be disqualified, as stated in the rules. First Impression: This is such a beautiful piece. I love the drip, drip, drip in the first and third stanzas. I can hear the drips and feel the strength of water over time. Such devotion to those who measure and wait! It's definitely not something I would want to spend my time focusing on it, but it's interesting. Thoughts/Suggestions: I wouldn't change a thing. I read it several times, enjoying your poem about persistence vs. quality of life. Favorites: I am awed at the strength of a mere drop of water, and the dogged persistence of man to pretend he is God. Nice work! And again, Happy WdC Anniversary!!!
