HAPPY 18th WDC ACCOUNT ANNIVERSARY FROM "Anniversary Reviews" Greetings, QueenNormaJean It'sa WrapY'all! I am reviewing this because I am part of the Anniversary Reviews Team. Happy 18! May you have many more wonderful years here. First of all, my reviews are intended to be helpful and encouraging, not hurtful in any way. Use what you feel works for you, and leave the rest. The Positives/What I Liked Bears have always frightened and fascinated me! My dad took us to Yellowstone when I was fifteen years old. We saw several grizzlies from far away. A woman from France had been mauled by a bear a week before we got there. I don't think they allow tents there anymore. We had a tent camper (pop-up). I don't think they allow those now, either. So now you can see why this particular story attracted me to it. My dad also worked in Yellowstone for a few summers. That's where his ashes are, per his request. I enjoyed this little tale of the hikers, leaving their camera behind and then going back to look for it the following morning, when it was safer. Good choice! And what a fun ending! A creative one, too. Ha! Nice twist, and unexpected. You've done a great job with this—no typos, good grammar, great flow. And you definitely piqued my interest! You are in a majestic part of the country; no wonder this is only one of several stories you wrote that summer you worked near Yellowstone. You wrote, Up the hill, two miles in and there it was, near the big spruce. I'd be shaking like a leaf in fear of bears! Now that I think of it, I have my dad's Yellowstone hiking stick with bells attached. Do those really help keep the grizzlies away? Suggestions/Comments to Consider Absolutely nothing. Final Thoughts Very enjoyable. The ending brought a smile to my face. Nice work! And once again, Happy 19th WdC Anniversary! Have a great day and... K e e p on W r i t i n g ! Cubby ")
