I'll have to look up the "Earth Breeze" laundry detergent that you recommended. I was surprised that you can't recycle plastic through your county. I haven't lived anywhere in the United States of America yet where I couldn't do so, though sometimes it was only certain number types of plastic that could be recycled. Here, we can only recycle hard plastics (so no films or thin wraps etc.) with our county. The county doesn't take those plastic shopping bags either but the stores do. They started charging us for bags again earlier this year. I think, in the whole year, I've paid ten cents for one bag. I should blog about that. I almost went to the newspapers about it... anyway, it was an unusual situation and I really needed the bag. I have plenty of reusable bags and usually bring them with me. I'm sure that you're great about remembering! You already so so much for the environment, reusable bags fit right in.

I knew plastic was bad for our planet and hoped someone was working on cleaning up the ocean. I was glad to read that they are. And that you are doing all you can to reduce your plastic use. I do all I reasonably can but I am probably not quite as diligent as you are.

Very clever and creative to use corn for heat! I couldn't, because I'm allergic to it. So I guess if I ever come out your way in winter we'll have to meet away from your home. I never even thought about asking people how they heat their home before I visit... but now I know I'd better.

Very smart to insulate your house as best you can. I'd love to read more about how you're doing that.

I love spending time in nature too. And do all I reasonably can to improve my health.

I didn't notice any spelling or grammatical mistakes (or mistakes of any kind, other than missing a space between a period and the start of the next sentence, but I don't remember where I saw that - your writing was too interesting for me to stop reading and come down here and note it. ) in your blog post.

I thought the genres you selected were perfect for your blog in general. It's hard to pick three genres to cover the prompts for multiple blogging challenges. I'll have to remember to see what I picked. Yours might be better so I might borrow some.
