My review is based on professional editing points. It is meant to be honest, encouraging, and respectful in accordance with WDC guidelines. THE POEM A heartwarming poem about what it means to be an American. WHAT I LIKED I loved the patriotic tone of the poem. The poem touches on those traits and attributes that make living in America special - freedom of religion, education, the opportunity for employment, and pride in serving in the military. STRUCTURE This is free form poem. Each stanza has 3 lines, and the last stanza is a couplet. MECHANICS I did not spot any spelling/punctuation mistakes. The poem is easy to read. Good use of WDC ML to make it easy on the eyes. DESCRIPTIONS I liked: "When I see the red, white, and blue flare as the wind whips in the gale of life, I stand proud with a tear in my eyes." This is a great visual description and I can picture a patriotic American saluting the flag, but there's also an underlying emotion description that tugs on the heartstrings of pride and accomplishment. PARTING THOUGHTS/SUGGESTIONS The opening invites the reader into the poem and keeps them reading. The title segways nicely into the poem's content. Honest and heartwarming! An Angel Army Review for:
