"
Game of Thrones"
Hello fellow writer. My name is Sandra. I am one of the sly foxes.
Title: Head 'em up, Move 'em out
First Impression: This is a funny remembrance from the author's childhood. I love the conversational tone of it as if he were relating this tale to a spellbound audience. he almost displays an 'aw shucks' manner. ? It weren't nuthin' ma'am." The exploits he reveals are hilarious and something I could envision a group of bored, action-craving cowboy-emulating boys would do. Herd hundreds of chickens? No problem. Lose a few, meh, stuff happens.
What needs your attention: Nothing. I would not change a thing. This retelling is charming and funny. You relay all the pertinent details well.
What part I liked best: May I admit to loving all of this? I am still grinning and chuckling long after reading this. The descriptions are vivid and really paint a picture of the hijinks/escapades of the chicken wranglers. That they repeated their attempts several more times is hilarious. Despite the difficulties they encountered they persevered to a point. They were willing to accept casualties/losses. How magnanimous of them! It is amusing that these wannabe cowboys were restricted in their range to the mailbox. They obviously did not require an entire open range. I can see that old dog springing into protective action and slobbering over a poor chicken. The fact that the boys never confessed is also funny. How they managed all of this without witnesses is a mystery.
Overall Impression: This story would make a fantastic movie scene. It has everything action, comedy, misadventure an mystery. Thanks for allowing me to read your work. It ahs been my pleasure! What does the fox say??? Listen carefully.
