The Night Before Christmas [E] A classic Christmas tale with a twist... |
Hello The StoryMistress You are receiving this review of "The Night Before Christmas" in connection with "Game of Thrones" . Overall Impression It's time to break away from the chaos of chasing the Iron Throne! Or I fear my mind may melt all over my keyboard So, in my attempt to escape and unwind I set out on a journey through some ports I seldom get the opportunity to really delve into—SM, Jack, and finally your own. And wouldn't you know it, I found the perfect escape from the tedious tasks of The Citadel and the reviewing frenzy of Endless Night. And it was in your port! So, naturally I was enamored and had to give this madlib a spin. I honestly forget that WDC offers so much more than just writing for writing's sake. There are all of these wonderful and fun things to do: crosswords puzzles, word searches, and of course . . . madlibs! This madlib was pretty straight forward in it's approach. It's simplicity aided in it's asking: provide words and generate a tale completely unique to your mind! Filling in the blanks immediately brought back memories of filling out madlibs in my younger years. It was a blast. This is the response I generated: 'Twas the night before Valentine's Day and all through the sock not a/an hyena was stirring, not even a/an walrus . The children were stuck snug in their wardrobe while visions of beans laughed in their fingers. When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, I sprang from my refrigerator to see what was the matter. I knew in a/an tumbleweed it must be Saint Jeremy, with his miniature Bugatti and 11,957 tiny flamingos named Dasher and Dancer and Sandra and Alex. He filled all our sandwiches, then laying his knee aside of his nose, up the chimney he watched. But I heard him exclaim, as he jumped out of sight, "hairy Christmas to all and to all a/an large night!" There's some comedy gold in there thanks to your strategic placement of the blanks. A sock the night before Valentine's Day is pretty self explanatory The children and their beans laughing—I'm sure there's an understood "pull my finger" joke in there somewhere. And I must say Saint Jeremy does have a certain ring to it! But keeping track of 11,957 tiny flamingos that go by one of four names may prove to be quite the task! Lastly, I'll leave you with my favorite seasonal greeting of all time now: "Hairy Christmas!" Thanks for the laughs, SMs! Let your imagination run wild. Set your creativity free.
