Your article is well designed, with a coherent theme, and flows logically from point to point.

You also made great use of white space, numbering and bold features to keep interest and attention and visual appeal going.

The best part, of course, was your thirteen tips. I love the Daily Flash Fiction contest, even if I don't enter very often, and I'm eager to learn how to do better in it when I do. I don't know my win ratio though. If I put all my stories in the same place, it'd be easier to calculate. Maybe I'll start doing that and just calculate going forward. Kudos on your sixty-five percent win ratio! That's fantastic. Even though I don't know mine, I suspect yours is better.

I especially liked tip eight. It's the only one I think I'm not already doing, and it's one I plan to implement.

I totally agree with not reading other entries before entering. I think it's best for all contests to not read your competition's writing until after you've submitted your own. Best to keep things original.
