*Reading* I liked how you spun this story. It's a unique and creative way to write about a spectre picking up a soul.

The frustration of the spectre was clearly noticeable. You wrote how the soul kept blinking in and out of death, because of his defibrillator really well.

Your opening was strong and grabbed my attention, the story held my attention throughout, and you wrapped up the story nicely.

I do have a few suggestions below. Please use or discard them as you see fit.
