WOUNDS [E] Poem about the journey and process of healing through trauma. |
A "Game of Thrones" review from The views and opinions on this review are mainly the things discovered by the reader and therefore, do not reflect necessarily to the group, activity and/or event being affiliated herein. This is only the opinion and suggestions of the reviewer and it is still up to the author of this piece to consider this review as a corrective action or otherwise. Hello Christopher Day This poem about overcoming difficult and traumatic times is told in nicely rhyming lines. There are always two lines with rhyming last words, but I can't make out a rhythm. It's not clear to me whether this is a specific poem form or just freeform. The second person point of view makes the reader feel involved, which is a nice touch for a personal growth item. The message in the poem, to overcome adversity and find the will and the strength to fly is very positive and encouraging. The invitation to come along at the end is a nice touch. It's lighthearted, but also glosses over the journey of others in life. What I mean by that is that the whole text mentions the hard personal work that has been accomplished to get to this happier point in life. Another person would have to work through their trauma and anxieties on another schedule. Just talking from the content perspective, the ending is too simple. Talking from an emotional perspective of wishing you well, the ending is great. One thing to consider when you put things on the internet is font size and paragraph breaks. I am not sure where or when this piece could have breaks, but they would help to read. A solid text such as this one is difficult to track with the eyes. It's also a little harder to review as there aren't a lot of points to refer back to. My review has been submitted for consideration in "Good Deeds Get CASH!" .
