| (4.5)| Hey, I think this is the first time I've seen this form, where each line begins with the same letter of the alphabet! That hard sound of 'd' sets the tone very suitably for the poem. The imagery, words and verse structure create the mood you're seeking. Yes, humankind has made some bad choices and it looks like the bleak picture you paint is heading to be a reality. Maybe there's a faint hope, if we still wake up and do something ... ? I like the whole thing but my favourite bits are where you say that though distance divides us, we're bound to share the same destiny. I also like the use of the word 'diamond' - indicating fake riches which are lethal. The link you've given at the conclusion seems to have gone invalid, maybe you could type out the name of the contest.
