Greetings and welcome to writing.com! I see you’ve taken the dive and posted a variety of content here as a newbie. Don’t forget to interact on the Newsfeed or chat in the forums, if you would like to get acquainted with the vibrant people who make this community rock! This is a nifty little poem that uses various somewhat unusual metaphors to speak of fidelity and the difficulty of maintaining a steady relationship. It is creative and follows an easy rhyme and meter that aids the flow. I don’t usually have much to criticize about poetry because I see it as a highly subjective art form, and this in particular feels like a more personal item. I’m also hardly qualified to argue about measuring meter and counting syllables, since I hardly know the difference between a sonnet and a villanelle For me, writing poetry is a very instinctive process, and my poems either turn out well, or they don’t… You could add three relevant genres to the item, such as “Experience,” “Personal,” and “Relationship.” This aids in finding the poem when browsing and gives you more opportunities to be nominated for a Quill Award. I also tell everyone to use size 4 Verdana font to ensure readability across devices. Take care, thanks for sharing and keep writing My review has been submitted for consideration in "Good Deeds Get CASH!" .
