*PenB* First Impressions:

I did as you suggested and listened to La Cathedral Engloutie" by Debussy while I was reading. It went very well with the story and made me wonder if that might be a good idea for writers, to suggest a piece of music, classical or otherwise, to accompany their writing.

This was an interesting story. Told in the style of an old myth, the language worked well to give it that old legend feel. I don’t know the myth so I can’t say if you have changed it much, or if there are several versions out there telling essentially the same tale with subtle differences. I liked this version. It was well told and until the end, I didn’t know why it would be a sunken cathedral, but it all makes sense now.

*PenG* Suggestions:

The story was very polished and I only noticed one, small error:

(The Sunken Cathedral))
You have an extra parenthesis there.

And just a suggestion: You have chosen Folklore, Fantasy and Mythology as your three genres. I’m not sure if ‘Fantasy’ is the best choice - I would probably suggest ‘Religious’. I think it would capture the essence of the story better. ‘Fantasy’ makes me think more of dragons and magic.

*PenP* Final Thoughts:

I thought this tale was quite intriguing. I probably should have heard this myth before but since I haven’t, I couldn’t compare your take on it to any others and I’m probably not the target audience. Or maybe I am, if you were looking for people who didn’t know anything about the original tale. Either way, I liked the story.
