IDEAS TO MAKE YOUR PIECE STRONGER:
I just have one little suggestion. For this sentence (in the second stanza): "She married a man older then her," I believe "than" should replace "then," though I'm not a grammar expert. I do read a lot of books though, and it's always phrased as someone being older or younger than someone else.

As with any review, feel free to take what serves you and ignore what doesn't.
