Hello pure poetry,

I just read your item
"The Scottish HighlanderOpen in new Window. and am here to review it.

This has a lovely feel to it, yet sad too.

I do like how it's formatted and each line expresses what is happening.

The little story in these verses happens in real life when a soldier goes off to defend his country. They are separated from their loved one. And sometimes don't return home.

This sums it up:
Do you believe in ghosts? For I will return one rainy cold dark night
To roam the hills and visit the locks and catch my lover's sight

*Pencil* I think you may have meant to use the word 'lochs' rather than locks.

See below:
Loch
Loch is the Irish, Scottish Gaelic and Scots word for a lake or sea inlet.
