This is quite the ominous tale. It works well as a Flash Fiction story but I feel there is a strong enough premise that it good to expand it into a short story. There are great descriptive moments here that are amazing to visualize such as the character feeling a touch on her shoulder and appearing on a ship of the dead. The way the story is written allow us to journey along with the character into this depiction of death. There is a lot of ambiguity that the reader is left to interpret. It seemed like the necklace the lead was wearing was a symbol for her life force and turning it over ended her life. I like the ending segment as we are able to see into the characters mindset in death. Her description of longing to be alive is haunting to read. Great writing!
