What a wistful picture you create in a few simple, powerful words! The title and brief description gave only a small hint, but absolutely no real idea of what was to come. The cover picture is apt for the poem, too.

The poem can be interpreted as being from multiple points of view. At first, it feels like it's from the viewpoint of those in the house, then suddenly one realises it's from the viewpoint of the person watching. That is cleverly done, too.

I have no suggestions, it works just as it is.
