I'm responding immediately, on reading the title and brief description only so far. From this, I gather that the poem is going to be about going through grief and finally gaining strength. The title sounds optimistic.

How beautifully you describe this. You had me reading throughout, and relating to every word. I love the metaphor of colour, and yes, it did speak of hope and strength at the end!

I clicked on the author's note - thanks for mentioning the form. I don't know much about forms of poetry, so that was helpful. In fact, maybe you could put 'sestina' in the brief description, and leave the link below.

A good review should have some suggestions for improvement, but I think this poem works exactly as it is. I wouldn't change a thing about it.
