Hi queenkissy, I am reviewing this on behalf of "WdC SuperPower Reviewers Group" ![]() ![]() Please remember these views are purely my own and any advice given is with the sole intention of being helpful. First Impressions: This is interesting because I've just written an entry for this prompt, and it runs along the same theme as yours. I love that you called your poem 'A World Of Thanks' because that's how I feel about this contest. It's got me writing something every day, and that feels good. I think I'll try to continue with the contest into May. Voice/Tone: Your poem is sincere and honest in its tone. It is obviously written from your heart, so the narrator is you. It comes across as warm and appreciative. I like this. Mechanics: I'm not entirely sure this is 24 syllables. But, it may be because of a difference in accents. I've counted a couple of times, and I make it 23 syllables. The only reason I can see is that maybe you count inspired as two syllables? Whereas, I count it as one. My Favourite Part: I love the description of Karen as a "tenacious wordsmith." That's spot-on. I also like how you say poets sitewide have been celebrating their craft because that's exactly what has happened. I've never participated in NaPo before, but this contest encouraged me to do that, and I feel like it's an achievement. Suggestions: Only to check the syllables. Other than that, fantastic! I really like this poem. Keep writing! Choconut ![]() ![]()
