MikeWrites' Blog [18+] A collection of thoughts and comments on various topics. |
Hi Write_Mikey_Write! ! You was browsing through your port today after seeing you in Scroll a few times and thought I'd better leave a review so you know I was here Hope you are enjoying the birthday festivities! I came to your blog first because of the entry you posted in the 24 syllables contest, but wanted to review your blog as a whole instead of only that specific entry. First - your fibonacci poem. Wow! This is a really good entry! It is amazing how you can inject that much imagery, emotion, and passion into so few words and so few syllables! I've not tried writing this form before, but I think I will have to try after seeing yours. My favorite part is the entire second half: "Perfection that naught / this side of / Heaven / can / match." You have a way with words and they are so fluid to read. Lovely! A comment on your post about if it is theft when people take napkins and coffee creamer - well shoot! I know I've done this in the past, but I haven't made a habit of it. It feels to me that stuffing things in purses or pockets or grabbing multiple handfuls would be over the top, and perhaps "stealing," while taking a modest chunk of napkins or *several, but not handfuls of creamer might be more acceptable. Hard to say ... the establishment has put these items out for customers to take without paying for, so in that sense, it shouldn't be stealing. That said, it would be even more unacceptable if someone who had not bought anything walked in and took some. That I would be more likely to call stealing, though it would make me wonder about their financial situation ... You've made me think ... Finally, just a little note on your "Music to Paint by" post - WOW! Incredible! That must have taken the homeowner nearly as much programming/coding, and coordination as it takes SM to manage this site! Very impressive! Thanks for sharing! Take care, and I hope you continue blogging more often! I've recently started a new blog and I try to write every day.
