*Candleb*HAPPY WDC ACCOUNT ANNIVERSARY FROM "Anniversary ReviewsOpen in new Window.*Candlev*

Hi 🌑 Darleen - QoD Author Icon!I'm coming through your port today with a review of your Dark Poem, "Good Enough" in celebration of your account anniversary month! *GiftO* I hope you are enjoying the birthday week festivities as well! *Bigsmile*

*StarB* When I came in to your port looking for something to review, this piece immediately caught my eye due to the cover image - very haunting, but fitting to the piece. I do think you could add a couple other Genres to this piece though, perhaps Emotional, Personal, or Experience? The piece is a little dark, but that's not all it is. It's also very relatable and personal. An emotion I'm sure a lot of people have felt before.

*StarG* Though overall your poem is very good, the one stanza that felt more awkward than the rest was the second one, beginning with the line, "caught in a play." For some reason that I can't put into words, it felt more standoffish than the rest of the poem. I felt like I was being accused of something. This stanza seems to have a different tone than the rest of the poem. Where the other stanzas are introspective, this second stanza points the finger at the reader. Particularly the lines: "is NOT the question, / it is the situation" felt like I was at fault, and perhaps that was the emotion you were hoping to give the reader, in which case, it worked! *Laugh*

*StarB* My favorite lines in the whole poem are these: "unrealistic expectations / of societal perfections." It is really cool that they rhyme too. They pair really nicely! *Bigsmile* Re-reading the whole poem, I noticed you have several lines that end in "-tions" with the words: imperfections, question, situation, expectations, and perfections. Very nicely done tying the poem together like that! *TrophyG* *ThumbsUpL*

*StarG* Thank you for sharing your writing! I hope you are having a great time at WDC birthday celebration! Congratulations on your FIFTH account anniversary month as well! Take care,
-Emily
