I'm glad I found this item in your port! It is very well-written, and manages to tell a story about something that may otherwise be quite boring to write about. Your imagery is fantastic as well. You're able to explain your property, your ritual of laundry-doing, your success at "complaining -- nicely" to the soda company, and the conversation and prize from the laundry company as well. I enjoyed reading!

You had several great lines in this piece, but here are some of my favorites: "I knew my spouse and child wouldn't bother me there, lest they be asked to help." and "It actually looked like a failed science experiment, or that some living creature was floating in the bottle." You're able to be humorous and tell a factual story at the same time, which is really inspirational!

Have you had any other experiences like this? My grandfather is very similar to you in that he will not hesitate to call a company he has a complaint about, but also ones he has a compliment for! In the past, he's received a free t-shirt in the mail, and a free signed golf ball! I need to follow your lead, I think!
