Growing Up On Facebook [E] How having a Facebook account forced me to become an adult. |
Greetings, Writingrose! This isn't bad, and I congratulate you on confessing to some of these 'offenses', if that's what they could be called. Like you, I'm a 'Toys R Us' kid, and even though I'm 52 years old, I still don't feel like I've grown up! And I have 4 grandchildren! But as for your affliction with Facebook, I personally can't understand your fascination with it, other than to 'spy' on your high school nemeses. They said that they internet would bring people closer, but I think it's done just the opposite! People don't talk to each other face to face anymore, they can simply punch a few buttons and think that's all good and well. If that's being close, then I'm on the wrong planet! However, if Facebook has helped you to see things with a new set of eyes and change your life, then I'm happy for you. And since you wrote this more than 8 years ago, things should be drastically different for you now! At least I hope so! Sorry to be so picky, but I did spot a few tiny niggles: 'I use the term veuyer becua(s)e that is the way I feel on this site...' 'Could it possible be that I do not feel like an adult...' (possibly) 'Finally, I had what I needed to push myselrf into adulthood...' (myself) Kee ponw ritin gon, Writingrose, wherever you are, and I hope your life is going great!
