First Impression: The first paragraph hooked me with the memories being a nightmare waiting for the speaker to fall asleep. The author moves the narrative forward at a good pace while making the description part of the action of the essay.

What needs your attention: I found no technical problems, or anything else that needs attention.

What part I liked best: I like the way this essay shows the author's emotions through the words and descriptions of this non-fiction piece. I also like the author's note at the end of this article because it emphasizes the fact that, eventually, we have to speak out about the abuse.

Overall impression: The author demonstrates through this piece that children who are abused blame themselves for the abuse. It does not matter if an adult or a relative tells them the abuse is their fault because children usually presume that they are at fault when something bad happens to them. This is a thought provoking and educational piece that everyone should read because it focuses on the abuse of children and how they feel about the abuse they are experiencing. Write on.
